Anne M. Flanagan obtained her M.Sc. from the University of Alberta in Biochemistry in 1980, followed by a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from the University of Victoria in 1985. She was a Professor of Biotechnology at the University of Alberta for 13 years of which the last 9 were at the Associate Professor level. During that time she was also involved in the nutraceutical and forestry industries. Anne has an extensive scientific publication record. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships including post-graduate fellowships from NSERC and NRC. Prior to joining our firm, Anne was an associate of another prominent Canadian law firm with an extensive patent practice.
