	Douglas B. Thompson is a partner in the firm. He obtained his law degree from the University of Alberta in 1975. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1976 and was subsequently called to the British Columbia bar in 1979. He is a registered trademark agent and a registered patent agent. Doug began his legal career as a litigator. His practice then increasingly evolved into a more general intellectual property practice, including an active licensing practice.
