Ed Bowes obtained his LL.B. from the Faculty of Law
of the University of British Columbia in 1971, and then was awarded
a British Commonwealth Scholarship that helped him to obtain his
LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science
in 1972. He articled with the Associate Deputy-Attorney General
of British Columbia. In the period 1972-1975 he served as Assistant
Professor of Law with the UBC Faculty of Law, where he taught intellectual
property law. Subsequently, he commenced a civil litigation practice
that continues to this day. He has been counsel in over 250 trials
and appeals. In addition to his civil litigation practice, he is
also a registered trademark agent and practises in the trademark
and copyright areas. |
