Tao Cheng is an associate with the firm. A native Albertan, he
received his law and materials engineering degrees from the
University of Alberta. Tao was called to the British Columbia Bar in
2008.
During his time as an engineering student, Tao was involved in
numerous research projects including the computer modeling and
design of fuel cells. As a law student, Tao worked for the Alberta
Law Society Libraries, the Office of the Vice-President and Provost
of the University of Alberta, and the Alberta Municipal Government
Board. He was also honoured to have been one of two students
selected to participate in the full year student clerking program
with the Alberta Court of Appeal. Prior to joining the firm, Tao
articled with another prominent intellectual property firm in
Vancouver.
Tao is an avid traveler, a technology junkie and a badminton
player. He is fond of rabbits and hopes to acquire a miniature pig
in the near future. He is fluent in spoken Mandarin Chinese. |
